教材分析：
本课为人教版 PEP 小学英语五年级上册Unit 4. What Can You Do?中的 Part A 的第 一课时 Let’s learn & Let’s play。本节课主要学习5个有关家务劳动的词组及有关家务劳动的表达“I’m helpful. I can...”. 教材在Let's learn部分设计了Sarah can do housework的故事情景。在故事情境中自然地呈现了cook the meals,water the flowers, sweep the floor, clean the bedroom，empty the trash五个动词短语。通过Sarah的话直观的引出了本课时的重点句型I can….教学内容与学生日常生活联系密切，因此在教学中要注意学以致用，鼓励学生能简单介绍自己能做哪些家务劳动。
学情分析：
五年级的学生已经学过两年的英语，有了一定的英语基础。但是相比三、四年级的学生，他们的英语学习的兴趣就没有那么浓厚了。这节课是本单元第一节课,学生对本节课的内容比较陌生，但学生在四年级学过floor, bedroom, water这几个单词，同时也比较熟悉四年级的一则跟做家务相关的Let’s do.针对这些特点老师可以在热身环节播放这则Let’s do来活跃课堂氛围，复习旧知识，引出新知识。此外，在组织教学的时候，可采用多种灵活的呈现方式和活动方式来提高学生的学习兴趣。
一、教学目标：
1. 能够听、说、认读动词词组empty the trash和句子“I’m helpful! I can sweep the floor.”
2. 能够听、说、读、写动词词组cook the meals, water the flowers, sweep the floor, clean the bedroom。
3. 能够听懂、说唱歌谣“Dog, dog, what can you do? ”，并初步熟悉句型：What can you do? I can…
二、教学重点和难点：
重点：能说5个短语以及能拼写其中4个短语cook the meals, water the flowers, sweep the floor, clean the bedroom.,能运用 I can….进行表述。
难点:正确拼写及能书写cook the meals, water the flowers, sweep the floor, clean the bedroom.
三、教学过程：
Step1. Warming up 1. Let’s do. 播放四年级上册的一篇 Let’s chant. Open the door, close the window… 2. Free talk T: What do you do on Saturdays? T: What do you do on Sundays? T: Do you like to do housework? T: So , what can you do? 学生学习的热情被调动出来，还复习了做家务的词组。 正确回答老师提出的问题。自然地过渡到做家务的主题。在好奇心的驱使下，他们会对做家务的表达很赶兴趣，想知道如何去表达自己会做的家务事 通过四年级上册的一篇 Let’s chant，活跃课堂气氛，帮助学生复习做家 务的词组，为新词组的学习奠定基础。通过 Free talk 引导学生进入做家务的情景和表达。
Step2. Presentation 1.通过复习bedroom学习词组clean the bedroom. 教师拿出bedroom词卡并复习它的拼写后，向大家介绍：“This is my bedroom. What am I doing?”并做出拖地的动作。接着出示并教读clean the bedroom并引出I can water the flowers.I’m helpful. 2. 教师用脚踏地，问学生：“What’s this?”然后教师拿起笤帚做扫地的动作同时问学生：“What am I doing?”引出词组sweep the floor句子I can sweep the floor.I’m helpful. 3.教师拿出事先准备好的矿泉水，，教师再走到一花盆旁浇花，引出词组water the flowers及 I can water the flowers.I’m helpful. 4.课件呈现cook the meals的图片。引出cook the meals和I can cook the meals. 5. 引出短语sweep the floor课件呈现Sarah emoty the trash的图片 I’m helpful.I can…. 根据老师的肢体语言和课件所展示的图片说出意思后，沿着老师引导的方向操练本课的短语和句子。 通过运用图片和肢体语言的方式呈现新词组。能比较形象生动地将知识点呈现出来。学生比较乐意接受这种方式，课堂学习不会太单调同时还可以保持学生对新知识的新奇感
Step3. Consolidation and extension 1.翻译下列短语 (1).empty the trash (2).clean he bedroom (3).sweep the floor (4).water the flowers (5).cook the meals 2.列一份自己会做的家务的清单，并读给自己的搭档听。 合上书本将短语翻译出来。 读的时候如果发音不正确，学习能力强的搭档会帮助纠正 加深对新知识的记忆。列自己会做的家务的清单贴切确实的生活实际，可以帮助他们将新知识灵活地运用到生活中。
Step4. Summary 小总结本节课的教学内容。T: what did you have learned in this lesson? 结 Wh 学生根据黑板上的板书回答：I can clean the bedroom. I can sweep the floor. I can water the flowers. I can cook the meals. I can empty the trash. I’m helpful. 检查学生对新知识的掌握情况。 Step6. Homework 1. 1. Listen and read let’s learn. 2. 2. Do housework at home and write them out. Li 学生按照要求完成作业 使学生能够巩固和运用新知识。
